Our Business

Silver Moon Glass was created in September 2001, and the small following of friends and family requesting wares as gifts quickly morphed into a following of strangers from all over the country. As design and knowledge grew in jewelry making, so did the demand. By 2004, our designs were being carried by local Charleston boutiques such as Poe Studio, Copper Penny and Utopia, as well as in Beaufort, SC and Jacksonville, FL. In addition to creating trendy jewelry, we began creating bridal jewelry while planning the jewelry for Angela's wedding in 2004. By word of mouth alone, the orders began pouring in from all over and from people we had never met. Today, Silver Moon Glass continues to fill custom bridal orders from simple to the most complicated in design, in addition to keeping up with and setting news trends in jewelry.

Who We Are

Angela Marie Easterby-Smith

Born in Charleston, SC and raised in a house filled with the love and talent of creative parents, Angela learned at an early age to paint, draw and sculpt, filling walls and shelves with bright paintings and oddly shaped clay animals. It wasn't until college that Angela received any formal art instruction, and what started as filling a credit requirement quickly became a love affair with art. Studying under the direction of Bruce Nell-Smith at Newberry College, her Psychology major quickly became a minor during the Fall of 1998 while studying in Italy on an art program through the University of Georgia. In a short time, the paintings became larger and more colorful and the pottery more rich in design, incorporating fabric, glass and metal into functional pieces, making them far more than just something to look at. Angela graduated from Newberry College in 2000 and continued with painting and pottery, showing in few small galleries, shops and a Cultural Arts Exhibit in Charleston, alongside her professor Nell-Smith, in June 2001. Later that same year, a friend presented her with a handmade glass bracelet, inspiring her to begin yet another direction in art.
